JULY 3-8

Thursday July 7

Thursday was rung in with some yummy egg shaloms. The highlight of the morning was God's Animals, a small petting zoo put together by the Shalom family and their friends. It featured Al pacas, a turkey, a newborn baby goat and plenty of cute bunnies.

Pictures are now up in the gallery featuring some guests and their favourite animals. You can check those out here.

tomorrow is the last day of camp!  Be sure to check the lost and found before you go, and pick up any tee shirts or hats you may require!

Wednesday July 6

Wednesday began with french toast. We spent the morning making a craft, a picture frame for the cabin photos. After lunch we hit the pool for some wet water fun. Soon after, playdough and googly gloop were spread throughout the group and we had fun making some sculptures and just plain squeezing it in our fists.  After supper and some colouring, revival night began. We started with some worship before moving into a moving skit about God's love and what he did for us. This weeks Chaplain Emile Schmid spoke and invited us to take Jesus' hand in ours.
It was a long but fun day. Thomorrow we can look forward to having a petting zoo here at Camp Shlom featuring bunnies, al pacas and more!

See you tomorrow!

Tuesday July 5

Tuesday began with scrambled eggs and bacon and fininished with some fun songs around the campfire. Today we had a great time painting the staff. Our staff volunteers and some people who weren't expecting to get completely covered in paint. We also had two fun crafts today. First we made butterflys (and made them fly around the room) and also decorated cookies using icing and fun decorations. The highlight of the day was definetely the dance party in centre hall. Everyone got their groove on to some heavy beats, as well as a little Justin Bieber.
Something to look forward to tomorrow is another craft. We will be making picture frames to go with our cabin photos.
We're almost mid-week here at Camp Shalom stay tuned for updates, pictures and more.

We had lots of un hanging out by the pond and later we also enjoyed the poool. This afternoon the guests had fun game of pictionary. After tacos for dinner, the guests enjoyed the staff show, featuring such favourites as senior superman and the hamburger skit, as well as a a dance off.
