Thursday July 22nd

There's still more to come on this great day at camp, and as promised, it's even better than the last. Tonight on the schedule is a talent show for all the campers to show us what they've got! It was a hit last week and I'm sure this week will be no different!

Today's Highlights: Pancakes and Sausages for Breakfast; Power and Praise; Interest Groups for Adventure Camp and a visit from the Fire Truck for Munchies; Subs for Lunch; Ultimate Cabin games (British Bulldog and PipSqueek and Charlie); Bible Study; Tuck and Free Time; Chili for Supper; Talent Show; Campfire; Bed Time.

Up until now we've dodged some serious thunder storms and the promise of rain almost every day, but now it looks like the rain may have finally caught us! There's nothing that can stop the fun from continuing this week, and it's exciting to see what will happen next!

Wednesday July 21st

An incredible day at camp is now coming to a close. Today was the day of the revival service, a time where we are all reminded of what God has done for us, who He is and how we can follow him. This year it is based around the story of the Ragman, a moving analogy of Jesus. There was an amazing time of worship and many lives were changed! It's hard to believe there's still two more days, as this week keeps getting better every day! What will tomorrow hold? We'll just have to wait and see!

Today's Highlights: Bacon and Eggs for Breakfast; Power and Praise; BBQ for Lunch; Assorted Camp Games; Bible Study; Tuck and Free Time; Ham for Supper; Cabin Time; Revival; Christ Candle (a time of sharing between campers and their counsellors about their walks with God. It can also involve asking questions about God and who he is.); Bed Time.

Tuesday July 20th

It's the end of an event filled day at Camp Shalom! Everyone is a little bit tired after a day in the sun (that was supposed to be full of rain) including a huge all-camp game of Capture the Flag! If that wasn't enough to do it, the early rise for the polar bear swim must have helped. Thankfully there's a great night sleep ahead of us, and another exciting day ready in the morning.

Today's Highlights: Polar Bear Swim; French Toast for Breakfast; Power and Praise; Interest Groups; Pizza for lunch; Ultimate Cabin games (Egg Dropper); Bible Study; Tuck and Free Time; Meatloaf for supper; Cabin Time; Capture the Flag; Campfire and Bed time.

The egg dropper game was exciting this week! In it, each cabin has to make a structure that can hold an egg, and that will keep the egg safe when it is dropped from various heights. One cabin came very close to making it through the final round, but fell just short! For pictures of today's activities click here.

Monday July 19th

It was an awesome day at camp with campers and staff enjoying themselves thoroughly. The buzz is going around that this week might even be the best yet! Currently, campers are getting ready for bed, excited to see what tomorrow holds for them!

Today's Highlights: Cinnamon buns for breakfast; Power and Praise (our daily worship service); Interest Groups; Chicken Nuggets for Lunch; Ultimate Cabin games (dodgeball); Bible Study; Tuck and Free Time; Chicken Stir Fry for Supper; Cabin time; Staff show; Campfire and bedtime.

Staff show was a hit and had both staff and campers laughing their heads off! It was followed up by a meaningful and fun campfire that put the perfect end on a great day at camp! View pictures from the day here
